July is a month of spending plenty of time in sunny FL, my home state. As I mentioned in my previous blogs, I need to do more to protect my eyes from UV radiation during my runs. My biggest complaint about sunglasses is that the tint is too dark. I am strange in that I do not like to see darkness when I know it is light outside. Shady Rays Allure (https://shadyrays.com/collections/allure/products/villa-bliss) sunglasses have the perfect tint. They are my second pair of Shady Rays and I enjoyed them as much as the X series shades that I own.
The Shady Rays Allure shades have polarized lens that offer 100% UV protection. The lens are shatter-resistant and salt water proof (perfect for beach goers). They also include life guarantee for replacement for lost or stolen shades.
The sun shines its best and brightest in the south in July. I wore the shades for running and while at the beach during my family reunion. During runs they stayed on and offered great UV protection. I had no issues with my vision while wearing them during my runs. I have been slacking this summer on running due to travel and working in the evenings so the longest distance I wore them was a 5k.
Shady Rays has been also become my favorite brand of leisure sunglasses. I love wearing them to beach and anytime I need UV eye protection. I wore them during my family reunion in FL. I was disappointed that beaches were closed due to the hurricane in Louisiana, but I still got plenty of wear in the FL sun.
Overall I like the Shady Rays Allure series sunglasses and I plan to continue wearing them this summer and beyond. I leave the shades in my car so that I always have them when I need them.
